ABOUT
Giuseppe Vasapolli is a classically trained composer who works between Italy and Los Angeles. He writes music for many American television networks such as Fox, AMC, ABC, History Channel, National Geographic, Disney Channel, NBC, CBS and more.
Giuseppe Vasapolli has composed music for dozens of television series including "Criminal Minds Beyond Borders", "Ancient Aliens", "Bizarre Foods", “America's Book of Secrets”, "The Pitch", "Disney's Kickin'It", "The Curse of Oak Island", "The Curse of Civil War" and "The Freakshow".
He is also active as a composer for films, both in Italy and in the Unites States. In 2023 he composed the soundtrack for the motion picture "So Tutto Di Te" by Roberto Lipari and in 2022 he composed the soundtrack for the film "Un Mondo Sotto Social," both produced by Tramp LTD and distributed by Medusa Film.
He has also been working with director and cinematographer Daniele Ciprì since 2021 for whom he wrote the music for "Il Tristo Mietitore" and "La Fornace".
Since 2017 Giuseppe has been the composer (together with Michael Lord) of the hit game show "The Wall", originally produced for NBC by basketball champion LeBron James. Distributed by EndemolShine, "The Wall" has been broadcast in more than thirty-seven countries, including Italy (with the Italian host Gerry Scotti and aired daily on Canale 5 since 2017). Together with Michael Lord, he also wrote the music for "Spin The Wheel", another game show produced by pop star Justin Timberlake for FOX TV.
In 2014, Giuseppe wrote the theme song for the "Red Carpet of the 86th Academy Awards Oscars" in Los Angeles. He also composed the opening music for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards (with actors James Franco and Rebel Wilson) and the world premiere of the blockbuster "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" (with actors Jamie Foxx, Andrew Garfield, Conan O'Brien and Emma Stone) for the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.
He wrote additional music for the documentary "Larry Gelwix: No Regrets" (2012 Emmy® Winner for Cultural Documentary from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) and "The Brightside" (directed by Sarah Wilson Thacker and awarded a Student Emmy Award). Giuseppe Vasapolli studied film composition at the prestigious program "Scoring for Motion Picture and Television" at the University of Southern California (USC) where he was awarded with a mentorship with Thomas Newman. Among the others he studied with Marco Beltrami, Christopher Young, Jack Smalley, Alan Silvestri and Bruce Broughton.
Since 2012 he has regularly written the music for the American TV series “The UnXplained” (hosted by William Shatner, the “Captain Kirk” in Star Trek), “The Curse of Oak Island” and “Ancient Aliens”, for History Channel.
In 2022 he wrote two piano arrangements for the Adrian Lyne thriller "Deep Water" with Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas. He is also the co-owner of "The Hollywood Graveyard", a popular YouTube channel about the history of Hollywood entertainment which currently has over 300k subscribers and 90 million views.
